When is the next semester?

January 16th, 2017 - April 8th, 2017. Applications for this semester are due January 2nd, 2017.

 

Who can apply?

Applicants must be at least 17 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.

 

Is there a maximum age limit?

Yes. Our cut off age to be a student in the school is 30 years old. However, we have other outlets like daily worship and prayer sets, weekly hunger nights, and semi-annual conferences for people of all ages.

 

Am I guaranteed acceptance to the school when I apply?

No one is guaranteed acceptance. After prayerful consideration, our office will notify you via email regarding your acceptance or denial.

 

What is the cost of tuition?

Tuition for first semester students is $3,600.

Tuition for second semester students is $3,000.

 

What does tuition cover?

First semester tuition will cover housing, classes, class materials, honorariums for seminar speakers, administrative costs, and more.

*Second semester tuition does not cover housing.

 

How much would tuition be if I already live in Austin and I don't need housing?

Tuition cost for those who are already Austin locals before applying for the school is $3,000 per semester.

 

What is NOT covered by tuition?

Food, transportation, textbooks (cost of the textbooks is very low), extra spending money. 

 

If accepted, when is tuition due?

After acceptance, a non-refundable deposit of $1500.00 USD per student is required 30 days before arrival day with the balance due on registration day.

 

Is the school only for singers and musicians?

No. All who have a heart for worship, discipleship, community, and/or global missions can apply.

 

Will I need my own reliable transportation?

Yes.

 

Will I need a laptop?

A laptop is useful for study and communication but is not required.

 

How long is each semester?

Each semester is 12 weeks long. However, after every semester we send missions teams to the nations. Many of our students go on these trips.

 

What is a typical week’s schedule?

Tuesday - Friday:

9am-12pm: Worship and Lecture

12pm-1pm: Lunch

1pm-5pm: Worship and Prayer Sets

 

Saturdays:

10am-1pm: Outreach to our city

Sundays:

10am-1pm: Local church ministry (our students visit and serve at different local services)

 

Tuesday nights:

6pm-8pm: Student Connect Night (Weekly HOD hang out and food)

Are you accepting international applicants?

Yes.

 

If I am accepted, can I work an outside job?

Due to a heavy schedule, working an outside job is highly discouraged during the duration of the semester.

 

What is the dating policy?

Dating and courting are not permitted during your time as a HOD student. We strongly advocate that you keep this season of your life set apart for spiritual introspection and relational deepening with Christ and Him alone. If applicant is engaged, they should specify this on their application.

 

Is childcare provided?

Not at this time.

 

Do you offer a discount for married couples?

Yes. Married couples will receive a 50% discount. However, Married couples will be responsible to work out their own housing arrangements.

 

Is my tuition tax deductible?

No.
